From June 17 to 20, 2023, the 33rd Annual Conference of the Chinese Chemical Society was held in Qingdao Hongdao International Convention and Exhibition Center, Shandong Province. Professor Huang Hui's team of seven students (Ma Bowei, Ma Liangzhuo, Liang Xinyu, Mi Chunchun, Gu Xiaobin, Zhang Meng, Li Xiang) and two postdocs (Xiong Haigen, Xie Wenbin) participated in the conference under the leadership of teachers Huang Hui, Zhang Xin and Wen Kaikai.

     With the theme of "New Journey · New Mission", the annual conference set up 64 academic chapters, 13 special forums, and exchanged 9,588 papers, another record high. During the annual meeting, a total of 2 invited presentations, 218 thematic presentations, 1564 invited presentations, 2107 oral presentations, 251 flash mob presentations, and 4291 wall poster presentations were arranged. More than 15,000 chemical science and technology workers and students, including more than 80 academicians of the two institutes, participated in the meeting and exchanged ideas.

     Xie Wenbin, postdoctoral fellow of the research group, gave a wall poster exhibition entitled "Room temperature Suzuki Polymerization (CASP) based on C-S bond activation". Dr. Xiaobin Gu gave a wall poster exhibition entitled "Conformational Regulation of dimerized electron acceptors for Efficient, stable and Low Energy Loss organic solar cells". The work they did won the attention and recognition of the participants. The award committee of the annual meeting inspected all the posters on the spot, and Dr. Xie Wenbin and Gu Xiaobin were recognized by the committee for their work, and finally won the excellent poster award.
