From October 27 to 29, 2023, the Second Energy Chemistry Youth Forum of the Chinese Chemical Society was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The conference was co-sponsored by the Energy Chemistry Professional Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society and Tsinghua University, and hosted by Sichuan University and Tsinghua University Press. With the theme of future energy and sustainable development under the "double carbon" goal, the conference focused on cutting-edge research and applications in the fields of advanced battery technology, solar cells and photoelectric conversion, photoelectrocatalysis and fuel cells, and new energy conversion technologies.
Professor Zhang Xin and Gu Xiaobin from the research group were invited to attend the "Nano Research Energy (Nano Research Energy) Academic Rising Stars" forum and give on-site report defenses. During the meeting, teacher Zhang Xin gave a report titled "Design of Low-Cost/High-Stability Electron Acceptor Materials", and classmate Gu Xiaobin gave a report titled "Efficient, Stable and Low-Cost Organic Solar Cells". After an intense oral defense, the report was unanimously recognized by the jury. In the end, teacher Zhang Xin won the NRE Academic Rising Star Gold Award, and Gu Xiaobin won the NRE Academic Rising Star Excellence Award.
